"Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself." — Zen Sutra
This is one of those Sutras that I am not writing for anyone else but as a reminder to myself. It is a public admission as well as reminder. Wait, if you are thinking why would I do that and I ask why not? How else would I improve in my life?
I plan to improve and get better daily and this is one thing that I always wanted to get better with. I was not able to pin point the problem as I never knew about the problem in the first place.
It so happened that I went to the doctor for a regular check up only to know that I have been thinking a lot and it is affecting my sleep quality. With my body not fully rested, there are repercussions.
I am a mental person, literally. I think and I think a lot. I solve most of my problems when I am in my sleepy mode. That is who I am. Whilst some problems are best solved in thought process, many problems are not here to be solved but just kept aside.
You know there are two kinds of problems. Problems which if solved, will enhance the value and other set is problems which if put down will enhance the value. The second kinds are the ones where you keep reiterating the same thing again and again in your mind.
It is time that we recognize some problems are not problems waiting for solutions — they are weather passing through. You don't solve rain. You wait for it to pass.
The Vedic tradition distinguished between:
Stop solving everything. Start learning to put down.
This and so many others get discussed in our regular Meetups. Fortunate to have people like you who keep me going. Thanks
